Training Questions:

What is the cost of Training?

Refer to the Training Costs table above.

Additional colleagues: $2,000 per member/staff; $900 per administrator.

How do we reserve a spot for a specific training?

Email training@alliancehouse.org or call 801-486-5012. Alliance House needs a completed application, last Action Plan (if any), last accreditation report (if any), and 50% deposit.

Is the deposit non-refundable? Can dates change?

All deposits are non-refundable. You may request a date change if space permits.

What is the curriculum for comprehensive training?

A two-week sample schedule is sent after application; final schedule is provided on arrival.

Will we receive a post-training site visit?

First-time participant Clubhouses get a site visit (6–9 months post-training).

Established Clubhouses may request visits (expenses over $500 USD covered by participant).

Training finishes by lunchtime the second Friday. When should I book flights?

We recommend flights after 2 pm. Saturday departures available at extra cost.

Accommodation Questions:

What are the accommodations?

Airbnb lodging is covered from one day before through last day of training.

Extra nights are at participant’s expense; arrange early/late stays in advance.

Is there a washer/dryer onsite? Do I need linens?

Most Airbnbs include washers and dryers; linens are provided—no need to bring your own.

Will I have my own room?

Single rooms are requested but not guaranteed; rooming by gender then by Clubhouse.

What should I bring?

• Toiletries

• Picture ID

• Medications (carry-on)

• Laptop (or borrow a tablet)

• Umbrella/raincoat

• Comfortable shoes & layers

• Business casual for board dinner

• Ear plugs

Will I have access to a computer and Wi-Fi?

Clubhouse offers computers & Wi-Fi; Airbnbs have Wi-Fi. Bring a laptop or borrow a tablet; printing at Clubhouse.

Meals/activities outside Clubhouse—who pays?

Colleagues cover all meals and activities outside Clubhouse hours.

Feel free to grocery shop and prepare your own food.

Transportation Questions:

How do we get from the airport to the Airbnb?

Colleagues arrange their own airport transportation.

Is there transport from the Airbnb to the Clubhouse each day?

Alliance House lends vans daily (and for after-hours). To drive a van, email training@alliancehouse.org with your license & DMV record.

Vans must stay onsite during training hours. You may rent your own vehicle if preferred—just let us know.
